Taking in food to handle pressure or to make someone have a more optimistic mood could be a risky snare, and it can also be a cause for putting on the pounds. Before you reach for a snack, ask yourself why you want to eat this. Strive to distract yourself in a different manner if you aren't super hungry or it's a food with little nutritional worth. You don't have to eat to calm down or feel more positive, there are many other possibilities. Attempt to work out, read a book, enjoy your pet, talking to someone on the phone, and so forth.
